概述
Xfce 4打印管理是 Xfce桌面环境 的一部分，由xfprint4及xfprint-manager两部分构成。 xfprint4提供了打印的图形前端，xfprint-manager提供了打印机管理和打印队列管理 (需要打印系统后端支持)。
请注意，打印机配置不是 xfprint的一部分。它只能使用已经正确配置好的打印系统。
打印机的选择
在使用xfprint之前，你需要选择打印系统后端。

在写这篇文章的时候，有三个打印系统后端可供选择。
CUPS
CUPS打印系统是目前功能最全的打印后端。 It supports full job queue support and detection of avaialbel printers.
BSD-LPR
BSD-LPR is the traditional UNIX printing system available on most systems. This backend provides job queuing support, but with slightly less information than the CUPS backend.
File
This backend simply creates a postscript file that can later be send to any postscript capable printer or printed by using a postscript viewer.
使用xfprint4
xfprint4允许使用各种类型的文件，并进行打印设置。For this it makes use of the a2ps application. The dialog contains several tabs with a multitude of options. Most of them probably don't have to be changed. The following figures show all notebook tabs of the dialog. For an explanation of the options we refer to the documentation for a2ps.

使用xfprint-manager
The xfprint-manager application provides queue and job control for the printing systems that support it. It allows you to set the printer you want to use and set which one should be the default.
