Furthermore it contains more than 100 useful links to websites around GNU/Linux, software and hardware, distributions, videos and audio, reading (e.g. magazines and free books), Linux news and much more. The extension was created by JaiBee using Easy Menu and an own script.
Installation
Firefox
ubuntuusers Menu for Firefox can be installed from the official Mozilla Addon-Website. Clicking on "Add to Firefox" you have to accept the license agreement which contains the licenses of used logos, trademarks and so on.
Opera
Using Opera on Ubuntu you have to run a bash script to install the menu. You find the install script on the homepage of ubuntuusers Menu.

Apperanance
By unticking the boxes you can choose where to show the menu or whether the ubuntuusers logo should be shown.
Set which sub menus (and separators) you do not want to see, e.g. the German portal ubuntuusers.de.
Custom Pages
If your usernames of Ubuntu Forums, ubuntuusers.de or Launchpad are inserted, some extra links like your profile page or special search methods will be shown in the menu. You also will need your "Ubuntu Forums User-ID", that you can find in the address to your profile: `http://ubuntuforums.org/member.php?u=123456` - here is the ID `123456`.
Favorites
Here you can insert up to 10 websites (Title and URL) which will be shown in the Favorites sub menu. So you can access often used links faster. Please do not forget to tick the box "Show favorites menu".
Tips (Firefox version)
Open a link in a new tab
It's not possible to open a link in a new tab as standard before ubuntuusers Menu 1.3.0, you can easily get this under control via mouse-clicks:
- middle click (click on the wheel)
- clicking left and right mouse buttons at the same time
- Ctrl + left mouse button
